A massive search is underway in the West Auckland suburb of Henderson for a missing toddler.

The two-year-old girl, known as Aisling, has not been seen since 5:40pm, and police are appealing for information, desperate to find her before the cold temperatures drop to single figures overnight.

Search teams, police, the fire service and even members of the public are all involved in the hunt. Police helicopters were also involved, until night fell. She was last seen with her dog, and is wearing a green ski jacket, jeans with a flowery design and white shoes.

Police are requesting that residents in the area check their houses and properties.

There is a creek nearby, which has police worried.

I feel so sorry for the girl. I live in Australia, but I used to live in Henderson. Good luck to her family and friends.

All sympathy's to the family. Hallelujah was sung today in respects. Love to both the daughter and all who know her.
