Tom Cruise says Mission: Impossible 4 will be “hot”.
The 48-year-old starts shooting the fourth movie in the popular action franchise later this month. He can’t wait to get on the film set, and has promised fans the new instalment with be the series’ most entertaining yet.
“We will start with Mission: Impossible 4 in a few weeks,” he said in an interview with German magazine TV Movie. “It will be hot!”
Tom filmed the first Mission: Impossible movie in 1996, and starred in sequels in 2000 and 2006. He loves the series because he gets to perform dozens of death-defying stunts in every one.
Stunts are one of Tom’s passions, and he says his whole life has been leading up to the fourth Mission: Impossible film.
“It's all about preparation,” he laughed. “I’ve practiced for this my whole life and now I just know a lot about stunts."
Tom knows many people think he is too old to continue making action movies, but he doesn’t care. He says his long career has taught him that pleasing himself and his fans is more important than listening to what the media says.
“You need to have a thick skin in this business,” he said. “I have never pretended to be someone I'm not. Some people like that, others don't."
