Tony Danza has not fallen to his death off a cliff in New Zealand, contrary to rumours spreading on the internet.

Twitter lit up today with rumours of the 1980s TV star's death, which are fake.

The rumour was sparked by an article 'Tony Danza Dies In Car Crash' on a fake news site calling itself 'Global Associated News'.

The website fakeawish.com generates fake news reports about celebrity deaths, and Danza is not the first to allegedly fall from a cliff in New Zealand. Jeff Goldblum, Tom Cruise, George Clooney, house music producer David Guetta and Will Smith have all allegedly 'fallen off a cliff in New Zealand' at some point.

Kiwi actor Kevin Smith, famous for his role as Ares in Xena: Warrior Princess, actually did die in a fall – but it was in China, not New Zealand.

Really tv3 this is the best you can come up with ? Maybe you should interview a New Zealander so we understand how this relates.

His friends from his high school on Long Island are glad to hear that he is alive & well. Global Assoc. should be put out of business.
