Too many foreign brands - Aussies

The New Zealand retail scene has a strong Australian presence, from Bunnings to Country Road.
But in Australia, retailers are complaining about too many foreign brands taking on the local stores.

The unions have sucked billions out workers wages over recent years. What have they done with all that money? They could have invested it in NZ to buy businesses, and had worker owned businesses where they could pay the workers more, and make record profits! All probably while the workers do less hours! Hey, why even open the doors, as they will probably make profits with the business doors closed!

@Greg - why would we want NZ as a state? NZ has nothing on the table to offer us besides more Major communist Greens! China & Australia have both bought companies in NZ because they find it a good place to Invest right now.

You guys are just jealous because unlike new zealanders they fight to get a better deal in life, unlike nzers who just sit passively by while getting fleeced/taken advantage of.
Look where its gotten us.

And Australians hate competition, they want to have monopolies so they can keep ripping people off, bit like NZ actually.

Why dont we just become a state of Australia, we ar nearly already there.
Then we might get a fair deal here from them. Instead they just fleece us.
