Whoever is pumping out all these superhero films are eventually going to ruin it for a lot of people. I'm sure the die hard fands of the comics won't be swayed (they'll still have their comics etc.). But your average person going to the cinema will eventually be like "Jesus, not another hero film. We've had 40 of these in the past 2 years, lets go see the Hangover 4!"
The superhero movies are just the same thing over and over again. Someone finds out they have powers and they show it to the rest of the world by rescuing someone. Somehow a girl gets involved with this "someone" and becomes the "damsel in distress," if you'll pardon the colloquialism. A villain arises, usually someone the superhero knows on a personal level, then this villain catches the girl, blah blah blah, need I go on?
Like any genre there are going to be good and bad movies. It's just a bummer if you're a fan of the genre or a particular graphic novel when a movie doesn't do it justice. Barney's right, vote with your feet and pray Michael Bay isn't allowed scripts for anything you hold dear.
they need to be more varied in style, and not pg13, we need more visionary directors behind them willing to try something different cause now they are all just starting to look the same.
Too much crap about Rugby !
Man i think that dumd like what the hell why cant they just cut out the superhero movies and go into superkids or superteens bro that will be mean but not grown up superhero the kids should be the stars of superhero movies come on
Seems we're talking blockbuster or summer marquee type movies. With few exceptions, these are apparently limited to comic book adaptations, 1980s nostalgia cash-ins and comedy films along the lines of The Hangover. stroll past the board and you'll rarely see a movie without a 2, 3 or even 4 appending the title. Whether or not there are too many isn't going to stem the tide though. Just have to wait till they become unprofitable. The only film I'm looking forward to coming out is The Tree of Life. If only movies like this were the rule and not the exception. Times they do change.
What is really annoying are too many comedies with 'dick-humour' in them, which is not funny. Nobody is trying anymore, lets just reboot everything even if it's under 10 years old, and instead of writing actual jokes lets just chuck some penis and boobs in there cause that's HILARIOUS! Nevermind that we're alienating a huge chunk of our audience who expect more than childish filth from a movie. As for superhero movies, this year we've had two suprisingly good ones for a change. I don't mind them so long as they're good and do the source material justice. Looking forward to Green Lantern.
They are all fake anyway. It is all computer graphics. Don't need actors. Performing monkeys are heaps cheaper anyway.
Well I do believe that there are quiet a few Super Hero movies these days such as Batman,Spiderman,Green Lantern,Mr America,Transformers, and many many more it's kinda like going back to the old days when these were simply in Comic Books, I never thought all of these were to become a movie but all that changed in 1986 when Transformers The Movie came out in cinemas ushering in the new era of movies. So to answer the question, well as long as they remain accurate to the Comic Book Strips back like in the day.
