Each year hoardes of hunters take to the countryside to bag a few birds, and every year a good proportion of their catch will be ruined by a sub par effort in the oven.

But there's hope for those avid hunters who may be clueless in the kitchen.

Fish and Game are running a scheme so all that lovely organic game can be treated the way it deserves.

Lachlan Forsyth met Masterchef fan favourite Cameron Petley at Katikati's Fantail Lodge to see what the professionals could come up with.
