perhaps there aren't as many people interested in rugby. There is a raft of other sports out there and I expect a lot of people are more interested in watching these or taking part. Lets be honest rugby is reported to death.

All tickets should be subsidised by SKYTV showing these games live...why bother to battle the extreme weather, transport, expensive tickets, poor food and drinks.

Westpac Stadium only has itself to blame for poor attendances. Its policy to ban food or drink from being brought into the stadium has discouraged many families from attending. This is compounded by the exorbitant prices charged for venue refreshments. Moreover, the stadium is under-used as management have failed to interest music promoters to bring shows to the venue. In fact I recall a couple of years ago a promoter refused to bring any more shows to Westpac due to what I understand was a bad experience with management.
