The main thing is: the Scientologist are doing something to help, this is a fact, the rest is an opinion.

I know many Volunteer Ministers, and I have seen what they do. Many of the volunteers who have gone to Haiti, Christchurch and now Japan give up everything in their own lives (take vacation time from work or a leave of absence, leave family/friends, appointments -- everything) to go to a disaster area and help, even if doing so is dangerous/disagreeable/frightening. How can anyone find anything wrong with that?

Its very interesting but easy to see, that not single one of the persons who claim against Scientologists help even have been near to one of the Scientology Ministers or got one of their assists personally. Otherwise not single one of them would keep in their antagonistic position. Some maybe simple are missinformed by other anti-Scientology press some are maybe part of a well known movement, simple creating lies intentionally. Thats all about in my opinion. Scientology provides a spiritual way of help without any drugs as I have got help of them personally. So I know this is the truth and you can see me here without beeing hidden behind a nickname. BTW I'm an electronic engineer living in Vienna, so I'm not a stubborn one who cannot see what is going on in the world.

ah, I see Louanne has posted a waise back. Her real name is Lisa Lerones, and she works for Scientology's Office of Special Affairs (OSA). Her job is sort of an internet wrangler, to go to comment boards like this and try to defend her corporation against negative comments. She doesn't do a very good job, and like most working for Scientology, probably makes around $50 a week for her 'efforts'. Like people have posted before, trauma victims need actual help, not massages and useless nattering from unlicensed, unqualified people in yellow shirts.

Get these vermin out of our city. Shame on TV3 for even reporting such non-sense. These people are not trained councilors, they are only there to recruit. Why don't we invite witch doctors over from Africa to assist, they probably have more qualifications and aren't out to extort money like Scientology is.

I'm a Scientologist and some of you are way off base with your comments. A lot of us drop our lives as we know them and get on planes to help people around the world, just for the sake of helping them. The simple techniques we use to do so are drug free and really help, it's not even possible to harm someone with them. Everyone has a right to their opinion and we're used to what media mis-information has done but it's a fact that we're good intentioned and we'd even help you haters if you needed it. You may have to wait till we're done with the others though...;)

It seems to me that the Scientologists are at least there on the ground getting some sort of assistance to the victims of this disaster. Those who would complain that someone is trying to help another at this time should take a look at what they (themselves) are doing to assist. Not much I fear... The Scientologists are pretty well known for their help in times of stress and trauma and I have seen the results of their help. Dont scorn them. Look in your own back yard at what you are doing.
