The Tenancy Tribunal has ruled in Housing New Zealand's favour, awarding it the right to evict three Lower Hutt families with gang connections.

The tenants were served with 90 day notices in March after complaints from neighbours of intimidation and burglary, but chose to ignore them.

Several Mongrel Mob members have been charged as a result of the investigation.

The three families will all be appealing the decision.
