New Zealand manufactured pop band True Bliss have announced they are reuniting for charity.

The group, who were the product of the Popstars TV show in 1999, are releasing a new song to support the Child Cancer Foundation’s latest campaign One Day.

Megan Alatini, Joe Cotton, Keri Harper, and Erica Takacs performed the new song for the first time at the Northern Mystics vs NSW Swifts netball game in Auckland last night.

One original member, Carly Binding, was unable to be part of the reunion.

The four spoke on TVNZ’s Breakfast show this morning about why they decided to reunite for a good cause.

TrueBliss say they are not just copying the Spice Girls who announced a reunion last week, as they had been planning to announce their reunion before they heard about the Spice Girls’ plans.

Alatini tweeted about the band’s reunion.

“Rehearsing with my Truebliss girls!! Yay, we’re back together again!”

But there are mixed feelings about it from the public on Twitter.

Colleen McGeady sounded excited.

“#truebliss nz’s spice girls reform! Omg! Jo Cotton looking fab!”

Others were surprised to see them at the netball.

“Oh my lord, TRUEBLISS were the half time entertainment at the @northernmystics game. I nearly lost it. GREAT win though, whew!” tweeted Delaney Mes.

Euan Ross tweeted his worry about the reunion.

“TrueBliss are reforming?!? If this isn't a clear sign of an impending apocalypse, I don't know what is!!”

Alatini also tweeted that the new song would be online for people to listen to soon.
