Boxer David Tua will fight Nigerian Friday ‘the 13th’ Ahunanya on Wednesday 31 March at Trust Stadium Waitakere, Auckland.

Tua will be defending his WBO Asia Pacific and Oriental belts against former sparring partner Ahunanya.

Tickets will go on sale on February 8 and only 3000 will be available for general admission. In addition there will be 200 corporate ringside tables.

American Roger Bloodworth is training Tua and Ahunanya has been sparring with world class heavy weight fighters Hasim Rachman and Samuel Peter ahead of the fight.

In December Tua pulled out of his fight against Bruce Seldon scheduled for February 6 in Atlantic City.

The former World Heavyweight title contender Tua is on the comeback trail after knocking fellow New Zealander Shane Cameron out in the ‘Fight of the century’ last year.

Ahunanya beat Cameron in November 2007 with a technical knockout (TKO) victory.
