Turn an egg into a bouncy ball!

Wed, 05 May 2010 3:52p.m.

As oil gushes into the Gulf Coast, workers in New York City recover from another terrorist threat and Britain prepares to elect a new government… the world is a busy place!

So this week we’ve decided to present you with a not particularly taxing, but enormously rewarding experiment!

What you will need:

One egg
One container
Approximately one cup of vinegar
Approximately one cup of water
One week of absentminded dedication

How to turn the egg into a bouncy ball:

  1. Carefully place, or toss, the egg into the container
  2. Pour the vinegar into the container until the egg is fully submerged
  3. Wait
  4. Watch
  5. Remain patient as you allow the egg to sit in the vinegar for approximately one week
  6. Dip the egg into some cleansing water
  7. Admire (and bounce) your egg that is now a 3 News certified bouncy ball!

Have an egg-cellent time! Ah-hah...
