A 19-year-old tutor who sexually assaulted two underage male pupils has been sentenced to two years jail.
The tutor, whose name and the school at which he worked were suppressed, had earlier admitted four counts of sexual connection with a young person and two charges of attempting to do an indecent act to insult.
He admitted sexual connection with a 12-year-old boy in August 2011, and a similar sexual connection with a 13-year-old.
Justice Pamela Andrews said in the High Court in Auckland that the sentence reflected the man's early guilty plea, his age and his remorse for his offending, Fairfax reported.
