Two minutes of silence have been held in remembrance of the victims of the Christchurch earthquake, at the Hagley Park memorial service.
Christchurch's Catholic Bishop, Barry Jones, led the two minutes of silence at 12.51pm.
At the conclusion of the silence he led a prayer inviting people to remember those who lost their lives, those who have died since the quakes as a result of trauma caused in their lives, those who were injured, and those whose lives were changed forever.
