Fed up passengers have to wait as more flights are grounded in Europe due to volcanic ash

The ash cloud from Icelandic volcano, Eyjafjallajokull, has cleared from the United Kingdom but is now threatening European airspace.

Germany is the latest country to ground flights.

More than 500 flights around the UK and Europe have already been cancelled.

In Iceland itself, the ash has coated the countryside in a thick layer making life almost unbearable for the people and animals.

Aviation regulators are enforcing new guidelines to ensure public safety, but they're not pleasing everyone.

Ryanair sent a test flight into the area of the ash but says it found nothing and the ash cloud was a myth.

But just hours after the test flight, Civil Aviation forced a blanket ban over Scotland.
