World-champion kayaker Lisa Carrington is getting ready for the Olympics.
She says there is a lot of pressure as she tries to win gold at London 2012, but admits she mainly puts it on herself.
The girl from Whakatane says her small-town background is not a disadvantage.
“For me it’s really special to come from a small town, because not everyone is from a small place… It’s nice to know that someone like me [can make it],” she says.
Carrington will be hoping to wear the New Zealand uniform at the Olypmics, and says getting there is the hard part.
“It feels like I can do anything,” she says.
