Some rare photos of Sir Edmund Hilary climbing Mt Everest go on exhibition in Auckland for the first time today.
They were taken by Alfred Gregory, the expedition's official photographer, but he kept a number of photos private until his death last year.
Some of the photos show Sir Ed as he's never been seen before.
