The fastest man in the world is coming to New Zealand.
Usain Bolt will visit on October 8 as part of a promotional tour with his sponsor, sports drink manufacturer Gatorade.
The Jamaican short-distance sprinter won gold in the 100 and 200 metre events at the London Olympics, becoming the first man in history to defend both titles.
He is also the only man to hold the world records for both distances.
"We are unbelievably excited to bring the fastest man on earth to New Zealand. Coming off his recent performance, Usain well and truly earned his place in history as the fastest sprinter to ever compete," says Mark Callaghan, CEO of Frucor, which produces Gatorade in New Zealand.
Further details about Bolt's New Zealand appearances have not yet been released.
