As well as fresh playing faces in 2012, the All Blacks coaching ranks have been injected with new blood including Waikato man Ian Foster.
Foster comes to the All Blacks after being head coach at the Chiefs.
“It’s a different role going from a head coach to an assistant role but I’ve been able to contribute openly and freely,” he says.
He acknowledges there is a definite step up to coaching the national team; a role that comes with plenty of pressure.
“It’s a unique sort of environment, challenging but exciting,” he says.
