David Beckham scored a classy brace to show Olympic football manager, Stuart Pearce, what he had overlooked when choosing his Great Britain squad.
Beckham’s goals lead the Los Angeles Galaxy to victory over the Portland Timbers 5-3.
After going behind to a Kris Boyd goal, Beckham levelled the game with an exquisite curling strike from 35 yards out.
The former Real Madrid and Manchester United man then put the Galaxy ahead four minutes later with a trademark free-kick.
Boyd went on to score another goal for the Timbers, but Robbie Keane’s double and a Landon Donovan penalty saw the Portland-based side lose for only the third time in 10 games at Jeld-Wen Field this season.
Watch the video to see if ‘Golden balls’ can still bend it like Beckham.
