VIDEO: Gasquet and Berdych through to World Indoor quarters

Richard Gasquet and Tomas Berdych were among the players winning through to the quarter-finals of the World Indoor Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam.

It will be French fifth seed Gasquet's third ATP World Tour quarter-final of the season and he reached it by beating Russia's Alex Bogomolov Junior 6-3, 6-2; the match took just 78 minutes.

Second seed Berdych of the Czech Republic was 3-0 up against Marcos Baghdatis when the Cypriot retired because of problems with his left leg.

Andreas Seppi of Italy also went through, as did to pseed Roger Federer, who had a walkover.

Results from the World Indoor Tournament men's singles second-round matches on Thursday:

5-Richard Gasquet (France) beat Alex Bogomolov Jr. (Russia) 6-3 6-2

2-Tomas Berdych (Czech Republic) beat Marcos Baghdatis (Cyprus) 3-0 (Baghdatis retired)

Andreas Seppi (Italy) beat Philipp Kohlschreiber (Germany) 6-4 6-2

1-Roger Federer (Switzerland) beat Mikhail Youzhny (Russia) WO
