German rider Andre Greipel has won the fourth stage of the Tour De France in a sprint finish, with Fabian Cancellara holding onto the leader's yellow jersey.

Italian Alessandro Petacchi came in second with Dutchman Tom Veelers third in Wednesday's 214.5km stage from Abbeville to Rouen in northern France.

Matt Goss, of Australia's Orica-GreenEDGE team, placed fourth, while fellow Australian Jonathan Cantwell, who rides for Saxo Bank, came in sixth after quickly getting back on his bike following a crash.
