Our All Blacks showed great character and professionalism by not retaliating to what happened. Great composure All Blacks, you make me proud.

He had Richie in his sights from a few paces out, it was a blatant attempt to take him out, if he had used a fist he would have been off, forearm can still do similar damage, definitely not in the spirit of the game and he should have been sent off.

Funny, McCaw looked trapped after going for the ball (illegal or not) and he was fairly cleaned out by the Boks number 8. No reason for the second clean out. You can see Habana realising that Greyling was gonna get sinbinned for that cheap shot.
Mind you, the Springboks were probably frustrated for not leading the scores when they should have been.
Just love how the ABs turned it up a notch in retaliation.

In this case I do not think a red card was necessary. I certainly think that the yellow card was issued correctly. The disciplinary hearing will sort out whether or not a suspension is warranted.

Richie is the consumate hardman and so often the physical punching bag of his opponents. The red card should have been brought out this time. Blatantly flagrant foul.

The hit on Mckaw deserves not only a red card but a one match ban for such blatant foul play.

I hope Richie is OK. I hope he has someone to give him a hug. :-)
But at least he has the satisfaction of winning!
Whatever he does in the game, it's probably in some way a strategy thing, and on the level of just playing the game - no way does it deserve such a reaction. It's not in the same context.
The Springboks are big men but, hmm, I came across a quote that read:
"If a small thing has the power to make you angry, does that not indicate something about your size?"
(Sidney J. Harris)
Haha, maybe they are just little guys?
