The Black Sticks may not have brought back medals but they returned to New Zealand as winners.

The team’s fourth place finish is New Zealand’s best ever result at the Olympics and Black stick Katie Glynn tells Firstline the support has been incredible.

"Its good for us, it's good for hockey so its something to be really happy about (and) it's been great for me as well," says Glynn.

Team GB beat the Black Sticks to take bronze in a hard-fought 3-1 victory.

While our medal winners have taken center stage in recent days, we look at the gusty effort by our Black Sticks.

Firstline’s Sam Ackerman talks to Glynn about the team’s loss, building on the moment of the Games, and her knock to the head during the tournament.
