ACT Party leader John Banks was abused with expletives in front of Parliament today by a group of residual protestors.

Mr Banks turned up to sign an anti-shark finning pledge but lingering protestors from an earlier demonstration saw him and confronted him.

Mr Banks stood and took the abuse, occasionally smiling at those hurling swear words.

Footage shows one woman yelling expletives at him.

“These are your people you prick. You fu**en coward,” she said.

“Shame on you,” another one said.

The crowd then launched into a chant telling Mr Banks that “women must control their fate”.
