LIVE COMMENTARY… Masters 7 Vs Stars 7
90 mins – Two weird penalties to finish the game however our feed only caught one of them, classic exhibition match stuff.. All video updated some nice goals in there worth a watch…
87 mins – Suarez wants a winner for the Stars and he goes down in the box... PENALTY awarded! Cavani slots the penalty, all a little weird… That will just about do it…
84 mins – Then it’s the man himself, a classic Messi dribbling move, pull back on the right side of the box…and a sweet strike with the left boot ties it up…But does the score really matter.?!
83 mins – Just as I write that, Messi puts a lovely ball in for Rondon who heads home from close range, a well taken header… video coming…
80 mins – Masters earn themselves a series of corners but can’t make anything of it… Messi has gone missing in action this half…
77 mins – And another, goals on goals…This time it’s Nene which has to be said a pretty village effort… a little dinky chip and the Stars are up by two…
75 mins – GOAL TIME! Finally it’s been a bit of a drought… The Stars pour forward, too many numbers in the box and Rodriguez simply picked his spot and made sure of it… We have a lead goal, how will the Masters respond? Video up.
71 mins – End to end stuff, neither team able to get a shot away but some silky lead up work from both sides.
68 mins – Masters enjoy a decent few minutes in possession but just banging it about in midfield at the moment, someone needs to make a run, I’m looking at you Lionel Messi.
65 mins – No goals for ten minutes, what’s happened!
62 mins- What’s this, a free kick, 25 yards out as a reluctant wall takes shape… Which of the Stars will have a crack… A low curling ball forces a save but no damage done.. Masters bring it out down field.
59 mins – This has turned into a shooting fest, who can score the most outrageous goal?! There’s certainly the talent out there, we shall see.
53 mins – And again! Suarez this time is the finisher, the beneficiary of Cavani’s deflected shot, that’s his third and it’s all square once again.
51 mins – BOOM! Suarez gets one back for the Stars, a piece of individual brilliance, he dribbled through a couple then let rip on the right boot and thundered it home… Video up.
49 mins – Milito with the first real chance of the half, he can’t convert though, puts it across the face of goal.
46 mins – Back underway here in Miami, the rain has stopped and the players look set to turn it on…Masters with the ball.
Players are about to make their way back out onto the pitch, will we see more goals in this half? Almost a certainty…
Halftime
42 mins – GOAL! Drogba gets on the scoresheet for the Masters a sweeping move downfield led by that man Messi, he put a lovely ball through and then all it took was an open goal and Drogba, you know the rest, video coming.
38 mins – Free kick to the Stars – haven’t seen many of them today! Ball goes across goal, no drama goal kick.
35 mins – After a slow start this has really turned into a bit of a goal fest…Who will be the first to a hatty? You know who I’m picking! Masters in possession near halfway.
33 mins- GOAL TIME! And it’s that man Messi again… He made a sneaky run at the back post, received the chipped ball and tucked away his second for the evening, no worries for the man from Argentina… Masters take the lead once more, video up.
29 mins – The Masters strike straight back! Diego Milito with an all too easy accurate shot across the face of the goalkeeper and finding the right corner. Well taken, video up.
25 mins – GOAL! Falcao gets one against the run of play for the Stars. A bit of a scrap in the box, loose ball and he stuck a boot out and slid it past Pinto, video updated.
23 mins – Down the other end and the Masters work well on the edge of the box, Messi heavily involved, eventually we have a shot but offside is called.
20 mins – Suarez has another crack from distance and forces a save from Pinto, athletic stuff!
16 mins – Play stuck around the halfway mark, neither side willing to take charge, enough stars there, let’s see something special.
14 mins – We have an equaliser! Luis Suarez with some lovely one touch interplay and a dink over the keeper. This could be a goal fest!
11 mins – GOAL! And it is Messi who opens the scoring for the Masters with a silky smooth strike from the top of the box, just pure skill. Check out the video.
9 mins- Aww chance for Milito down the right flank but he can’t latch on and it’s saved by the keeper.
8 mins – Feed back up as the rain comes down in Miami.
5 mins – Apologies, we have temporarily lost our feed, should return soon.
3 mins – First shooting chance for the Stars and Luis Suarez’ left boot misses the target, video up.
Kickoff – We are off with the Masters in possession, who will score first, my pick is the big man Messi!

Basically a friendly soccer match that will get together many of the most important and valuable players around the globe, who will share the same field for the first time in history.
The World Soccer Masters represents the joy and pleasure of the game. The best of the world playing for their honor and the joy of just playing. First edition will take place at the Sun Life Stadium, Miami, on June 23rd, 2012.
