New Zealand golfer Lydia Ko has created women’s golfing history in becoming the youngest golfer to win a professional event.
The 14-year-old amateur from the North Shore Golf Club has claimed the NSW Open by four shots from Wales’ Becky Morgan (66) to become the youngest winner of a pro event (men’s and women’s) in the history of golf.
The New Zealand Amateur champion carded a three under par 69 in the final round to claim the title she missed out on last year when she missed a short putt at the 18th.
