The Tour of Britain started on Sunday with riders from 17 teams and 21 different countries racing from Ipswich to Norfolk Showground in Norwich.
100 riders began at the Ipswich Waterfront startline on Neptune Quay, with both Orica GreenEDGE and Vacansoleil DCM only starting with five riders.
Team Sky's Luke Rowe won the stage after team-mate Mark Cavendish was involved in a heavy crash just one kilometre from the finish line.
Rowe outsprinted Boy van Poppel and fellow Briton Russell Downing to take victory.
Cavendish did manage to finish the stage, but had a cut on his left shoulder for his troubles.
