They were the first medallists at the London 2012 for New Zealand and the Equestrian Team bronze was the beginning of a great Olympic campaign for New Zealand athletes.

Mark Todd, Jock Paget and Jonelle Richards (absent Andrew Nicholson) talk with Firstline presenter Rachel Smalley about the achievement and the need and struggles of basing their respective teams in Europe.

The team was spearheaded by veterans Todd and Nicholson, and the question on everyone’s lips was if Todd has it in him to compete in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

Todd says that depends on whether he’s still enjoying it, has the backing to compete again and has the horsepower.

With the hopes that he will have Land Vision set for the World Champs in two years time, after what Todd says in the interview he’ll definitely have the horsepower.
