The official weigh in for the Jamie Ridge fight against The GC star Roasanna Arkle was held today, with the girls tipping the scale away from other fighters in the KFC Godfather of All Fight Nights because Ridge is under 18 and couldn’t get into Sky City’s The Clubrooms.
Arkle had previously tweeted her disgust that Ridge had not dropped the required 5kg to make weight, and the scales did not lie today when she hit a ‘whopping’ 60.7kg. Although over the previously agreed upon 55kg, Arkle was happy and referee Lance Revil was satisfied with the weight difference. There will be no reweigh as reported by other media.
Arkle, trying to put on weight for the fight weighed in at 53.6kg.
The fight has become a major attraction, and is on the undercard to the Shane Cameron V Monte Barrett contest for the WBO Asia Pacific and WBO Oriental Heavyweight titles.
