Samoa has upset New Zealand to win the Las Vegas Sevens by 26-19, despite a massive comeback from the Kiwis.
Samoa took a 12-5 lead into half time, and looked to have the tournament sewn up with a brilliant team try to Faatoina Autagavaia to take the score out to 19-5.
But New Zealand weren’t done for yet, with two quick tries to Tomasi Cama and Ardie Savea putting them back on level pegging at 19-19 with seconds remaining.
With extra time begging, Samoa dug deep and found one last try in them to snatch the match at the death 26-19.
Despite the loss, New Zealand leaves the tournament still atop of the HSBC Series ladder.
The next tournament is in Hong Kong on March 23.
