Given the chance, Sonny Bill Williams would likely do it all another way in the Chiefs’ 28-21 loss to the Crusaders at Waikato Stadium last night.

Its human nature that we remember all the mistakes that SBW made and forget about the goods things he has done for nz. Good on you for criticising, it is what drives him to be the best.

i enjoyed reading all the excuses you people made for sonny bill. Personally, i reckon he ran the ball and didn't pass on purpose. he knew it would have been a 100% try so he took it himself knowing it was an impossible task.
the only reason he took it alone was because he didn't want to see his crusader mates knocked out of the finals run. disloyalty all over.

Last night kinda showed what sonny bill is all about...Himself. Instead of the obvious pass out wide for a certain try, he went himself for the glory, trying to bowl over the top of a couple of defenders. While he is certainly a talent, SBW is not about the team, only furthering himself. This is also shown by his decisions to put himself first, by constantly changing teams/codes, chasing the dollars and superstar status that he craves. A lot of growing up to be done.

Gutted Chiefs fan here. The only other thing I can think off is SBW was trying to make the conversion easier for Cruden for a draw by trying going over closer to the sticks. Other than that it gets the blown try award for this round and maybe the season.

They had 80 mins to score against the crusaders. Why wait for the 80th min to score a try. Its like climbing mt everest without your boots.

Firstly, it was our pack and lineout that lost the game...uncharacteristically shocking. Secondly, SBW did more than his fair share to keep us in the game. Lastly, with cruden's kicking not looking as confident last night, i doubt he could have slotted it in from a try in the deep right. SBW's try would have been our best chance at an equaliser.
Anyway, this is the kick in the guts we needed at the business end of things. I just hope the stormers don't gain a bonus point and we come back with a vengeance next week.

exactly hes not a perfect rugby player and the cheifs lost as a team
so mhen they win it si also as a team
dito for the all blacks
SBW gets wayyyyy to much publicity good and bad
he is a great athelete but in my opinion he is not going to become one of the greats either in league ,uninon,or boxing
unforutunatly it appears to most of the public he is in it for the money
nothing wrong with that but most great rugby players were playing for pride and love for the game
it seems to me that is missing from his game,i might be wrong ,and id love to be provin wrong
hes a good rugby player and with the right attitude could be one of the greats ,best of luck with that SBW
