After the storm damage in Hobsonville today we were listening to NewstalkZB on the radio. So many Christchurch residents who have been through so many earthquakes phoned to let those affected by the tornado in Auckland know they were in their(the Christchurch residents)thoughta. That was so truly heartening and I felt such a swelling of pride that we have the privilege of living in a country where people truly care about others. Sadly today and this morning 3 people got up to head to work. And as a result of natures destructive action the family of 3 people are now mourning their loss. To the families and next of kin of the three killed our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Wow, sharp, swift and sound. If a Tornado or any wind based natural disaster hits Wellington, then we'll be in deep trouble, since Wellington is the NZ city of Wind. and has the fastest winds in the country. we need underground tornado shelters yes?

Why have the public not been informed on the warning signs to look for in regards to Tornado's and Auckland's Tornado ally? ( I believe Whenuapai through Albany) Yesterday while in Albany I was constantly looking at the cloud colour and formation as it felt like it was Tornado weather, I was with a friend who asked me what I was doing so explained the warning signs to her, this morning while talking to a friend in west Auckland, she told me there were very dark clouds, I also told her the warning signs and said I had been concerned, I then phoned my partner who was working in west Auckland to warn him, now this was 3 hours prior to the Tornado striking and I live by Warkworth. Would someone PLEASE start informing the public on the signs and what to do.
