The Warriors blew an 18 point lead last night against the Manly Sea Eagles, eventually losing 24-22.

18-0 up after 32 minutes, the Warriors looked to have the game under control but a spirited fight back led by Daly Cherry-Evans secured the two competition points for the home side.

Warriors coach Brian McClennan says his team were trying to protect a lead rather than going after the game.

“It’s heartbreaking because all the players put in a real big effort…Manly chanced their arm and came up [with the goods]” he says.

Watch the video for reaction from the press conference.

The warriors are self-sabotaging themselves.

As I see it Russel Packer is the best in the world at playing like Russel Packer (which is pretty awesome), but when he tries to play like Feleti Mateo he becomes very average.

If the boys all stick to being themselves for the next five games I reckon they could sneak in...
