New Zealand athlete Valerie Adams' winning form continued with a dominant display at the Lausanne Diamond League meet in Switzerland on Friday (NZT).

Double Olympic champion Adams was a class apart from the rest of the field with a meet record throw of 20.95m, more than 1m clear of American Michelle Carter's 19.60m in second place.

The Aucklander waited until her sixth and final throw to produce her best. She opened with 20.73m and followed that with 20.28m before recording three foul throws.

Victory takes Adams to an unbeatable tally of 16 points in the Diamond League standing.

Second on five points is disgraced Belarusian Nadzeya Ostapchuk, who was stripped of the Olympic gold medal at the London Olympics after testing positive to banned drugs.

Meanwhile, it was a forgettable meet for New Zealand's Nick Willis in the men's 1500m.

Willis placed a distant 11th with a time of three minutes 34.85 seconds, nearly 3sec behind Kenyan winner Silas Kiplagat.
