I met Valerie Adams when she was 18 and had was just beginning to make an impact on the world stage. She came to visit Owhata Primary School where I was a teacher, as a Duffy Book Role Model (her younger siblings went to our school). She was open, honest, giving of her time and clearly loved what she was doing. She has grown into a remarkable woman and an amazing role model for all. She should be incredibly proud of her achievements as we NZders are of her and all she has done!! I hope she spend no more time feeling she has disappointed us, we couldnt be more proud!!!!!
