Vanessa Paradis says rumours that she’s split from Johnny Depp are “false”.

The actress appeared on French TV show Le Grand Journal to promote her new movie Café de Flore and finally addressed reports that she and partner Johnny Depp’s relationship is on the rocks.

Having previously evaded questions about their 14-year romance, she strongly dismissed the allegations.

Presenter Marc Denisot asked her outright why she didn’t respond to the rumours and said if they were untrue she could put an end to the continuous speculation.

"Well, yes, it's false! Of course it is false," Vanessa said.

The French star said the reports upset her because they could affect her family.

Sources have claimed that Vanessa and Johnny have been “living separate lives” and their relationship has been rocky for years.

“When people say that we are buying houses in France, we break up in the winter, we get married in the summer… This is my 12th pregnancy! All of this doesn't matter. But when it can hurt my children, especially because all this is only business,” she said.

The couple have two children together, Lily rose, 12, and Jack, nine.
