Manu Vatuvei is a certainty to return for the Warriors next game against the Manly Sea Eagles in Perth, while there are also positive signs for captain Simon Mannering and Konrad Hurrell.

Vatuvei wasn’t included in the squad that lost to Newcastle after pulling up with a hamstring injury in the previous week’s loss to the Brisbane Broncos. However Warriors doctor John Mayhew says the 26-year-old winger is all set to continue his quest to become the first player in the club’s history to score 100 NRL tries against the Sea Eagles.

Mannering sustained an injury to his right ankle late in the Newcastle match and fans feared for the worst when he had to be helped off the field. But those fears subsided as the ever-reliable captain was rated a chance to recover for Saturday.

Hurrell is still recovering from a foot injury he received against the Broncos, which seemed to trouble him throughout the Knights game, although he is hoped to be cleared by Saturday also.
