Victoria's Secret Angels Candice Swanepoel, Erin Heatherton and Lily Aldridge made an in-store appearance last week at the fashion brand's flagship store in Herald Square to remind people just why Valentine's Day is so special.
"I don't have a friend that says, 'Oh my boyfriend gives me too many gifts,'" said Heatherton with a smile.
"I think on Valentine's Day it's so nice to get a present, the beautiful bow, a box. I think it's nice to get something romantic. No matter what, Valentine's Day is a holiday of romance, it's a time to celebrate love and the people who mean the most to you. I love to get lingerie."
Victoria's Secret certainly has a lot of that. The company unveiled a new Love Me Push-Up collection as well as Noir Love Me fragrance for the holiday.
"Valentine's Day is the one day that you get to go all out with showing your appreciation and your love for somebody, you know?" said South African model Swanepoel. "So I think it's important for women and men to, you know, spice it up a little bit, don't be afraid to get sexier than usual, to play some games, I don't know. It's a great holiday."
Lily Aldridge completed the trio of bombshells and admitted this Valentine's Day will be different for her.
"It's my first Valentine's Day as a finance!" she gushed.
Aldridge and Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill are engaged to marry. But even before she walks down the aisle, Aldridge is aware of just how important keeping romance alive is to a relationship.
"I think the rules of love are different for everyone," she said. "I mean, obviously respecting each other and loving each other and caring about each other is the most important thing, and it's special, especially on Valentine's Day it's a nice reminder each year, because you know, I'm sure after many years of marriage you don't have those special times anymore, you don't go out of your way. And it's nice to have a reminder, like, maybe I should put on some sexy lingerie tonight, maybe my husband should cook me a romantic dinner and light candles and just remind each other that you love each other, because it's a beautiful thing."
