Though the annual Victoria's Secret runway show doesn't air till December, this year's angels gave a sneak peek of their sexy, winged looks.
Outfits fall into one of four themes: Star Trooper with breast plates and body armour; Pink Planet, which had a hippie vibe; the ethereal Enchanted Forest; and Romantic Journey that featured a lot of lace.
Australian model Miranda Kerr admits she still gets nervous before each show.
"Of course you get nervous. You're in your underwear, you're walking in front of a lot of people. And also you know it's going on television to so many people so of course there's an element of nervousness to it but I really try to embrace it, enjoy it," says Kerr.
One distraction she won't have to worry about is boyfriend Orlando Bloom.
Kerr says he doesn't attend her catwalk shows.
"It's just a separate thing," she explains. "You know I have my work and my personal life and I like to keep them separate."
The lingerie retailer returned to New York this year for a packed show taped at the Lexington Avenue Armoury.
The Black Eyed Peas were the night's musical guests, singing on stage as the models walked the runway.
Dutch-Frisian model Doutzen Kroes says a lot of work goes into preparing for the runway show.
"So a month has gone by preparing. You've done the best you can, you've got a nice tan, you feel great. You hear the music and then you have to walk on. It's a little bit emotional too. It's like whoa. All of a sudden I'm on that runway, millions of peoples are watching, there's celebrities sitting in the front row and you know it's like a lot of pressure. And that all of a sudden releases and just makes you feel so happy," says Kroes.
The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show also features Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio, Emanuela de Paula, Chanel Iman, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Lindsay Ellingson and Candice Swanepoel.
