Beachcombers are accustomed to seeing surfers catching a wave in Grover Beach, California.
But many were surprised to see a goat named Goat-ee trying balancing his hooves on a board.
His owner, Dayna McGregor, wanted to celebrate his birthday surfing with his goat. McGregor said Goat-ee can "hang hoof" with the best of them.
"She did pretty well. She got up on a couple waves. Got up? We put her on a couple waves and she was pretty successful," he said.
He originally bought Goat-ee to eat the weeds in his backyard, but she later became his pet.
McGregor says she goes everywhere with him and will be the mascot for his soccer camp.
