A woman has celebrated her 100th birthday by getting married to her 87-year-old sweetheart.
Dana Jackson tied the knot with Bill Strauss at Rosewood Health Care Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
"Getting married wasn't a big thing back when I was young," said Ms Jackson. "It's not what you got, it's what you make out of a marriage."
The wedding was an unexpected opportunity for the groom.
"I never thought I'd get married again, but I found one that's just nice as can be," said Mr Strauss.
Age has taken its toll on Mr Strauss who said he won't be able to see his bride as she makes her way down the aisle until she is only a few feet away.
