In a recent court case defending the lifting of a Protection Order I was so verbally abused by the Judge and my Ex's lawyer that I have no faith in our Justice system at all. In order to make a complaint I tried to get the court transcript but the judge refused to provide me one. Without this how can I prove what was said by the judge? He commented on a previous 'male assaults female' conviction of my partner, 'It can't have been too bad as it was only a fine'. In fact he had tried to strangle the woman in front of her young daughter. He further said 'it can't have worried her (me) she still got with him'. This man had convictions for making false statements yet whenever there was a 'balance of probability' the Judge accepted my ex's lies. This Judge showed more compassion when sentencing a man for stealing an old dog to fight with his, than he did for my daughter and I. I was made to feel like a criminal and my ex with 36 convictions who didn't bother to produce his criminal record in court although it was requested five months before court walked away laughing. There is no justice in the Family Court, the order was lifted.
