Hi,we have 1 x 120w solar panel 1x wind generator 300 watts max, 2x 220 amp batteries but use gas for hot water and the fridge freezer which costs $70 a month and save our $60+ electricity supply charge per month and the usage bill and are quite happy for the last 3 years.OK its a compromise but it cost peanuts, and it works. well done.

Wow, what an inspiration! I have often thought about how fantastic it would be not to have bills from the power companies or water bills from the council - great to hear people are actually doing it - well done - hopefully I will have the same one day....
