Well we listened to that recording over and over again and tried to listen for the words that were supposedly said by David, honestly we could not even come close to hearing those words..sorry we tried hard to hear it but it sounded NOTHING like I shot the prick, scary to think that the testimony or interpretation of someone not an expert in speech analysis could come up with that and ruin the reputation of an individual or worse be a factor in the wrongful imprisonment of someone.

It's nothing like "I shot the prick".

It's quite obvious that the detective is trying whatever tactics to still find him guilty.

It's simply a case of the police not wanting to be proven wrong. I certainly have my doubts over their ability to properly investigate such an incident, especially as overseas experts contradicted many of their claims.

I just saw this for the first time and listened before I heard what the detective thought and I heard very clearly: "I can't breathe". I am amazed that this detective picked up a 'sh' sound as the word 'can't is very distinct in the recording.

I think the words are actually "I can't...think"
