Franklin, I wouldn't worry too much about the issue getting media attention. The issue is about to be given the biggest push in such a way that it can no longer be covered up.
Thank you for your thoughtful article. The UFO issue is one that needs to be discussed and looked into in detail. Dr. Mitchell is not the only one to come forward with information on UFOs. Remarkable evidence is also available proving that UFOs are real. See (www.disclosureproject.com and www.freedomofinfo.org). Solid testimony from over 500 corporate and military witnesses has been accumulated by two disclosure initiatives. These disclosure witnesses have openly stated they are willing to testify, under oath and before Congress about their direct encounters with UFO crash site investigations, secret UFO documents, UFO photographic evidence, UFO radar reports and recovered crashed ET vehicles. As an Attorney, I can attest that the jurisprudential evidence of this quality does not get any better, especially when witnesses possess the ranks of Brigadier Generals, Commander of ICBM Launch facilities, Senior FAA Crash Site Investigators, astronauts, pilots and officers with above top secret clearance. Men have been executed in the U.S. with far less evidence. Other governments have started releasing previously classified data on ETs and UFOs. France was the first, in March 2007 the French National Space Agency placed 1600 previously classified UFO sighting reports into the public domain for examination; beginning the process of full disclosure of non-Earth origin craft. Similarly, the United Kingdom in May 2007 began a disclosure initiative. It is imperative that this issue receives media and elected official attention. It has been acknowledge by the U.S. military and other federal organizations, through freedom of information requests, that files on the subject remain classified. It is time for the country to move toward full disclosure. We the people, have the right to know the whole story.
Lol, I just seen a movie called Contact which is pretty much a drama of the above.I think that to answer the question first you'd have to decide a) Did God design the universe, or was it pure random chance?b) Is the universe really infinite or finite. If God created the universe, you would have to take into account what exactly it is that he wants to achieve. We filled the earth up in a few thousand years, perhaps he wants us to do the same across the universe. If it is chance, then you can apply the old statistical formulas to it.If the universe is infinite as well as undesigned, then it would be incredulous to believe that we are the only life.If it is finite, then the possibility would exist that perhaps we are.Until these questions are firmly and undeniably answered to each person, individuals would not be able to make an accurate judgement either way.My two cents.
Would it be considered (a) ironic, or (b) moronic, that the best science of our species considers that the universe is infinite, yet that same science seems unable to truly believe in the existence of other intelligent species because, as yet, there is no tangible proof of same?I would say it is the height of human arrogance to imagine that we are the only intelligent species, even in theory, and that, if true, it doesn't bode well for the universe!
Dr Mitchell is a fine example of a high achiever, and an even better example of how intelligence does not make a person immune to naivety. He has a long history of being hoodwinked by interesting stories and con-artists, including his infamous endorsement of fraud Uri Geller. I believe alien life exists, I just don't believe Dr. Mitchell has any evidence to support it.
