New website reveals if Kiwis are owed money from the IRD - Video

colleague suggested this site to me and Monday had a go. By Friday five days later was astounded to find a whopping amount in my account. Nice to pay off some big bills and bought Mum an early birthday present. It was enough to tie thing over and I'm actually looking forward to my next tax refund application.

what an amazing story! i use taxrefunds.co.nz as well. my tax refund this year is nowhere near $23,000 but is still money that i didn't have - enough for a bit of shopping :)

...thank God for the taxrefund,due to last xmas pay of my husband (due to recession) we don't know how we will cope as a family last the xmas & the holidays, if it wasnt for taxrefund...taxrefund did their homework with what was due to us both & before you know it, we had a shock! IRD owe us money...,the money was deposited into my bank account, my husband update my card & he couldn't believe it...he kept asking to see it for myself...yes, our refund was $5 thousand...I cried because if it wasn't for this refund through TAXREFUND our xmas would've been bleakd!...money wasn't everything BUT sure it DOES HELPS A LOT! I am very greatful to TAXREFUND, of course they will take their fees & maybe 4 working days but hey I was so greatful so was my husband. This was 2009 xmas for us, also this helped tremendously paid our bills, thank you again TAXREFUND: but we asked, "what was IRD doing holding our money? is this how IRD defraud us with our hard earned dollar? who else IRD's holding back on, a deceased dollars "lying-in-state at the IRD goffers?" IRD should use today's technology, find out who is owed money thru their records do their calculations & let these people know! I ask, how did IRD then know & send people "reminders" how much they owe IRD? Of course they use technology to calculate thru taxpayers' records how much they owed IRD! We've been deceived by IRD for every single hard-earned dollars of a lot of taxpayers, it is not a waste of time, check with TAXREFUND they really do their homework to help you, they helped us. Our refund goes far back to 2004! I will go back and ask TAXREFUND again to give me the correct calculations...I even encouraged my colleagues, family members and friends to use TAXREFUND. THANK YOU TAXREFUND!

well this is the first time i have actually claimed tax since ive been working , an now i have to pay 107.09 back to the tax people what is the go with that??

if the IRD were on top of their game then they would have paid out out tax credits within a short space of time after they were due.Yes the tax company charges a fee but calculate that against the amount of interest the IRD have earned on your credit for the years they have held onto it.also they do not charge if there is no refund due but they have still had to calculate that.Speaking with one employee I was told the largest refund was in excess of $50,000.00.I would use them again.I got a refund from 2004.!!!so what was the IRD DOING.??

I applied for a tax refund from taxrefunds.co.nz and it has taken them 3 weeks ago. I called them last night to see what is happening with it and they told me they have received my money from IRD but it will take them another 3 weeks for them to give it to me. So i called IRD and they told me it would have taken 4 working days if i applied through them! Don't use this service, its a waste of time and your own money.

I'm not sure why people still use these companies (there r a few of them). U can just go to www.ird.govt.nz and it takes about 2 minutes to work out what IRD owes you, it's 100% FREE and then you keep ALL of your own money. They ran this story on Fair Go last month - After I watched it, I logged into IRDs website and I had refunds in my bank acct a week later from 4 tax years (over $700) and no one took 12.5%. =)

I applied for my Refund in March and yes I'm still waiting..Yes it's taken a long time but once I found out how much I was owed which was for 2005 I nearly pee'd myself...I was so excited!!! Yes it takes a while...But good things take time. If I didn't apply for this through this Company I would never of Knowen I was owed this money...Good On you Taxrefunds.co.nz!!!!

How about asking that Tongan fella who cooked his dog if he has any good recipies for cooking cat..? Just kidding!!!! Seriously, how hypocritical of people to blame him... at least he didn't leave it to starve!

Oh - & make absolutely NO_MISTAKE...
if the "accountant" was EVER going to start charging me... a 12.5% CUT on those "returns" I would IMMEDIATELY "change accountants.
(& As he knows this - WOULD BE IMMEDIATELY - he has NEVER charged a "cent" more - than his stock & standard CHEAPEST rate... even reminding me- wnever I meet at his offices.. that the 1st 1/4hr is free - thus - please don't be here - in a 1/4 of an hr?))
