Documentary warns of the dangers of 1080 poison - Video

hi i am doing a school project on it and after 1080 has been droper i have to wate 4 years to go hunting in that spot agin

I`ve done a fare bit of hunting in my time,an it always hornted me, the thought of 1080 going through the pigs vains,in respective, this is our food chain, an independant, affordable way to feed family, as I have had to.Respect, here, for our envirement,our future generations,an I wonder? Is 1080 the cause of a lot of cancers? we do have more than our share in such a small country,after all,we only get out of life/envirenment, what we put into it!It is not until our last river has run dry,only then will we realise that money can not be eaten!

Good on ya lads for bringing this to the attention of all New Zealanders will be a massive job just got ta keep at it. It has to just keep coming up, and not let this crime kept being swept under the carpet, like Doc would so like to be. The point is Doc is only using this crap cause its cheep, and effects of this out dated band in every other country poison, are well hidden form the general public.

Today in the Taranaki Daily News page 5 there is a story from the Department of Conservation warning people of the possibility that their dogs may be poisoned from possums killed from the recent 1080 drop. There is also a picture of a possum that had no fur. Recently after 'The Drop' I found myself standing on a whole pile of possum fur on the bush boundary. My point. They are in so much pain they rip all the fur from their skin.

After asking DOC "is the Buffer from my Boundary the same as 2002". DOC said "No as there was no buffer then "(I and other farmers know there was) I was then told we are coming right along your 1km boundary. Sadly most other farmers here believe there is still a Buffer. My husband was told and shown on a Map 150m Buffer. We now have it in writing NO BUFFER and we have to keep the stock off the boundary until 100mls of rain. In January!!. So the stock have had to be removed. After knowing people who's stock have died immediately after a 1080 drop very close to their drinking water in 60-200acre paddocks I am more scared of them being poisoned from the water than pellets. Regardless of THEIR Science they feed us with. I went for a big walk in the Ranges that has had 1080 many times and heard 3 birds. I come back stinging from the black substance covering and suffocating a lot of the trees. Nothing can live in there and on the forest floor. No worms No Insects No Fantails to greet you. Doc say no King Ferns live in this bush Whatsoever.THEN why are they everywhere else. Including where there has been no PEST CONTROL WHATSOEVER. Why in a line of trees is the ONE that had Cyanide Pellets stapled to it looking very brown. After they stapled that stuff everywhere all the Pukekos (except for 1 lame one and some babies) and the Paradise Ducks that have lived here for years have gone. All of the bush on our farm is organic, no poisons and is very healthy. We have certain trees by our house where we know possums have been and they have NEVER been eaten out. On the contrary we Have watched some birds Totally STRIP trees. They grow back. THEY have ruined the Ecology in the National Parks here. It's only a matter of time before they realise it. By then it will probably be too late. I agree with those who say we are being deceived. 1080 is Very Bad. I also know of far too many people who's health has been badly affected in DROPZones. BUT I know from enquiries it does not even enter the minds of Local Doctors Medlab or Health Centres. For those who think I am telling PORKIES. I live in this Environment. I can't beleive nothing lives in the Water anynore. I,m talking about water in the bush or comes straight from it. It has not had any human interference except for 1080.

Honestly, this is proof that we are ruled by a bunch of idiots. You'd think they would have learned their lesson by now. They've had fifty years to learn it! And forcing farmers to lie about farm animal deaths caused by 1080 is a downright criminal action in anybody's book.

The Graf boys are amazing, good work guys for bringing 1080 to the attention of nz's. Time to get our heads out of the sand guys and stand up for nots right for our generation, generations to come and the ones before us who have been fighting hard to stop it and have never been heard. It is ridiculous that nz is thought of as PURE, CLEAN, GREEN, it is turning into the opposite, and until it stops will continue to do so. Every nz needs to stand up and try make a difference, look how much the Graf boys have achieved. I was just thinking how much attention the acc levies for the bikers got, how many thousands of nzs stopped and took note, we need to do the same for 1080.

We attended a public screening last night in Oxford of the Graf Boys latest DVD along with many others and the feeling of disgust was unaminous in the massive "con job" successive governments have participated in the deceive the NZ public.
If this documentary has not been shown on mainstream nationwide TV yet, it damn well should be instead of the crap from overseas we are offered,
The NZ public need to be made aware of what is going on in our own back yard.
The Crafar Family are probably going to be prosecuted for allowing cruely to occur to stock they were responsible for. While in no way excusing the Crafars for allowing their siyuation to occur the size of the indiscretions is minor compared to the scale of the DOC 1080 aerial drops that have occured over the last few decades,Surely DOC and AHB will also be prosecuted for their collective cruelty to animals.
If TV3 have not got the guts to show this DVD perhaps Maori Television will. TV1 and TV2 are State owned channels..come on TV3 stand up and be counted!!!or is the collusion on a grander scale than we all believe??
