I live in France and here they put speed cameras everywhere. But after a while people know where thery are installed. They slow down before and speed up again just after them : the problem is not solved....

Speed cameras will end up ticketing someone casually driving over the limit, but will just end up moving the problem to another road.

Don't be silly Bazza, do you really think there is adequate supply of 1000cc vehicles in New Zealand for the young people to drive?

age has nothing to do with it, our licences should reflect the amount of power we are allowed to handle in vehicles i have owned a Nissan Skyline for three years now and im 21 and i hold more licences than probably all of you up there i have never had a car crash and people described above ruin it for safe responsible car enthusiasts such as my self.

Adam Hollingworth - Please DO NOT use the term "Drag Race" when writing these stories as it is no such thing and brings the reputable sport of Drag Racing into disrepute.
These idiots are illegal street racers and no more. Our sport of Drag racing is done under strict rules on a closed track where safty is paramount, we do not condone nor promote this type of illegal activity on public roads.

Try taking away the big powered cars from our young ones. Allow people under 25 to have cars that are no more than 1000cc and not modified

Just because a road has a speed limit means nothing if driver want to race they will race.Speed bumps may help BUT if it is being used as a race track WHY have no camera's been installed at least this way police will get car rego's etc and please donot say they are not installed because of the cost.I am sure as with other speed camera's they will pay for themselves in a short time. If this would help to save a life it should be done.
