10,000 march in wet to protest over violence against Asians - Video

A crowd estimated at more than 10,000 took part in a rally in wet weather in south Auckland today to protest against violence against Asians. Police said the length of the procession was about 2.5km long, as it made its way from Botany Downs to Ti Rakau Drive. - read full story »

I hope - but not without some trepidation and a great degree of cynicism basically - that people in this country grow up, stop being xenophobic, quit this very peurile notion of Asians "stealing" jobs, and get with the notion that NZ has a lot to benefit from other cultures, and we are hardly over populated. Unfortunately, National will probably get elected by the same xenophobic, whining and generally clueless masses coming out the woodwork every day as we near the election, a contest between a Government that in general has tried to do a lot more than many would like to admit for the average person, and a bunch of no hopers that change leaders almost every year and can't seem to announce anything other than looking up the latest opinion polls and parroting on so-called 'hot topics' that frequent the considerably retarded and very shallow talkback shows. So, that may end that particular hope I guess...

What the govt should seriously consider is passing a law which says that any migrant who is the perpetrator of any criminal activity shall be deported along with his entire family. This will make them think twice before resorting to all these heinous crimes.
